ABOUT US
Carver Mission Academy (CMA) was founded in 1961 by black American missionaries from Carver International Missions. Initially, the Academy was founded to teach young people how to read and write; because without skills they could not understand God’s word. Over the years, the Academy has graduated many students who serve in government, private and public sectors, educational institutions and the church.
PHILOSOPHY & PURPOSE
The primary objective of Carver Mission Academy is to provide quality Christian education in a Christian environment. The Bible is used as foundation and the curricula are taught from a Christian perspective. The students are taught to seek and acknowledge God in every area of their lives. As a result, students will live a Christ-like life and be able to use the Bible to analyze, attack, and biblically resolve core life issues in their home and community.
CMA’s mission statement is to develop African Christian leaders for the Church, public and private sectors.
At CMA, we believe that God is the CREATOR, the first, foremost ultimate Educator. Education is related to the aspect of God’s revelation of Himself to mankind; it is the process through which God revealed Himself to mankind and all of creation. Therefore, God is the center of education process, although the focus of the process is the student. CMA’s curricula, administration, faculty, and staff perpetuate this Christian world view of education.
